The leather on these cases is the best I have ever had on an item. I own some expensive purses, etc. & the leather does not rate as high as the leather on my Wirkkala flute case cover.

In my opinion, your case covers are the ultimate in luxurious workmanship. Every time I reach for my Powell flute I am greeted by the beautiful workmanship & protection for my most precious instrument. The case is well over 25 years old & still looks brand new. If I was younger & playing as much as I use to I would invest in several more as they are worth every single cent. Your work is 24Karat Gold!!

I was able to purchase one of your cases about 25 years ago from a catalog. There was only one for sale so I grabbed it & have LOVED it ever since! My amazing parents purchased my beloved handmade Powell back in 1969-70 for my freshman/sophomore year of college & I never had a cover for the French hard case. Back then no-one used an over case which looking back was extremely hard on the instruments.

Later on I purchased the standard fleece lined nylon case but was not impressed with the ho hum student looks of it. Then…..I came across the Wirkkala case randomly! OMGoodness! When I received it, it was the same reaction as I had going from my Artley-Wilkins C flute with B foot joint to my Powell with all my requests aboard! I now own a Haynes, Muramatsu, Miyazawa & Yamaha, all pro level flutes that came with their own soft cases, but nothing even comes close to your custom cases.

If I was younger & still performing as much as I use to I wouldn’t hesitate to order 4 more C flute cases, 1 piccolo case & 2 alto flute cases… that is how much I respect the workmanship!
